Bernie Cissek (B.Sc., C.I.P.) President          Bernie began his career 30 years ago in the Marine Department of Royal Insurance Canada. After he gained experience with Royal, Bernie moved on and became a producer in the Marine Departments of major Brokerage Firms. Presently Bernie is the President of the Canadian Board of Marine Underwriters (C.B.M.U.) and Vice Chairman of the International Union of Marine Insurance ( I.U.M.I.).

Winston Chang (B.A., B.Ed., C.R.M., C.I.P.)
Vice President                                                                      Winston brings 30 years of experience to the Eagle Underwriting Group. Before joining Eagle, Winston worked in the Marine Departments of Hartford, I.N.A./Cigna, and Guardian Insurance. He is recognized as a leader in hull insurance throughout Canada.

Mike Wright (C.I.P.)
Vice President Marketing                                                      Mike began his insurance career in 1994. He joined Eagle Underwriting Group in the fall of 2001 bringing with him Marine Insurance experience as a broker in a major Toronto Brokerage firm. Mike is co-chairman of the Legislative Committee of the Canadian Board of Marine Underwriters CBMU. He is responsible for underwriting for Cargo and our Legal liability and E & O Programmes.

 

Narayan Iyer (B.Comm.,C.I.P.) Claims Manager                   Narayan has over 25 years experience in marine insurance. He is recognized as leading marine claims authority in Canada. He is also the Claims and Loss Prevention Committee Chair for the Canadian Board of Marine Underwriters CBMU and on the Loss Prevention Committee for the International Union of Marine Insurance IUMI.  Narayan is responsible for all claims, recoveries and insurance claim negotiations. 

 

Christin Moss (B.A.)
Business Development Manager/ Underwriter                Underwriter with over 15 years experience at one of the largest commercial insurers in North America. Christin specializes in marine hull, yacht and marine liabilities insurance. Christin joined Eagle this year and is responsible for Eagle’s new business production and yacht underwriting.  

 

Nickie Chandegra Assistant Underwriter                               Nickie has had many years experience in the London market before comng to Canada. She presently specializes on our U.S. business. 

Jean Huynh (B.A.)
Underwriting Assistant                                                         Jean joined Eagle in 2004. She works in the Hull and Bond area and supports the claims staff. She is presently being cross-trained in underwriting. 

Barbara Cissek
Accounting/Office Manager                                                  Barbara has been with Eagle since 1996 and is responsible for all accounting and administrative duties.
